About Set & Spec
Beautiful rooms,
resolved into decisions.
Set & Spec is an independent editorial project for people building premium home workspaces in the United States.
01 / PURPOSE
Inspiration is the start—not the answer.
A polished room can show a direction, but it rarely explains whether the chair fits the person, whether the monitor arm fits the desk, or whether the whole system fits the room.
Our Build Sheets connect those decisions. They name exact products, record the date each price and specification was read from the manufacturer, calculate a starting estimate from those dated prices, and separate confirmed relationships from the measurements still needed.
02 / SCOPE
One workspace system, built in stages.
The launch collection centers on ergonomic seating, sit/stand desks, task lighting, displays, and monitor arms. Future categories enter only when they help complete the same room-planning decision.
The goal is simple: show a complete look, the exact pieces behind it, a dated starting estimate, and the planning envelope—room width and desk size—to check against your own space.
